Nestled in a vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant has garnered praise for its exceptional food and attentive service. Guests rave about the creative, seasonal dishes and handcrafted cocktails—many noting the standout pork belly sliders and innovative raw oyster preparations. The ambiance, particularly with its lovely outdoor patio, further enhances the dining experience. However, some diners feel that portion sizes are on the smaller side, leaving them wanting more. Despite a somewhat confusing menu layout, the knowledgeable staff elevates the experience. Overall, this establishment is a delightful find, perfect for both casual meals and special celebrations.

Lovely restaurant with efficient, friendly staff. We had a wonderful, tasty meal.
We heart this place. Such unique, creative, taste-blowing plates. Dishes are seasonal and never disappoint. The portion sizes are perfect. Love the handcrafted drinks, and the innovative ways they chef up their raw oysters on the half shell. The staff always fully explains all the dishes and the fabulous ingredients.
A friend suggested this restaurant to me. Although the atmosphere and service were excellent, the portions were quite small, and even after having dessert, we left feeling hungry. Additionally, the menu was somewhat confusing, making it difficult to distinguish between the appetizers and main courses.
We got two different menus, roughly same items listed but different descriptions and different prices. Very strange, Ive never had that happen before.

Fabulous patio with fun cocktails, friendly staff and gorgeous seasonal diverse menu!
Truly an exceptional experience. This renovated house use to be The Highlands before a married couple bought it and renovated it to become Solitaire. Mark the owner chef use to work with Wolfgang Puck til he moved to Denver. The location is Highland Gardens on 32nd and Perry. Great bar, outdoor seating with some garden landscaping and divided rooms for restaurant service. Our waiter Tom was terrific. This is a small plate restaurant with five pages of wine and interesting cocktails. Three of us ordered 5 courses which were all shared. Two cocktails each with a bill of $182 $40 tip. Not bad at all. It was a deliciously delightful experience.
Went there with my wife last night. We did 6 courses of the small plates and decided to let the chef choose something we always do with a multi course meal, because really, who's the one that knows what will be best? This is also a great way to go because it tells the chef we're ready for anything he might be dying to try. The first course was an amazing quail egg and oyster combo. It was one of the best oysters I've ever had, and the quail egg part of it was probably one of the most delicious things I've ever put in my mouth. Every dish that came out was inventive and absolutely delectable. I can't remember our server's name but it started with a Z (Zane? and he was very friendly, informative about each dish, a great people person and definitely earned the full 20% tip. Yes it was pricey but you get what you pay for. The building itself was very cool. You don't have to take my word for it, just look at the photos. If I had any gripe at all it would be that at some multi course meals we've had at other restaurants we were able to each get different things. For example I could choose vegetarian and my wife could choose non veg. Or I'll choose beef and she chooses seafood, and our plates come out based on those choices, which is great because then we both get to try 2 things. But there are upsides to each of us having the same experience as well. Other than that 5 stars. Fantastic.
Solitaire is a must see everything was great! We had awesome hospitality, the drink menu was unique, the dinner and dessert was trendy and so good. The chef personally modified a dish to accommodate the food allergy. We loved the spot and we will be back for sure.
I don't often write reviews, but this place deserves my time. I can confidently say that I haven't had a better dining and drinking experience anywhere else. It truly deserves six gold stars! That said, I hope we don't overcrowd it to the point where I have to book reservations two weeks in advance or deal with a bunch of inconsiderate patrons ruining the vibe. No offense, but this restaurant is a real gem, and it's in all our best interests to keep it that way. I’m already starting to regret sharing this review. Also, I should mention it has some charming old-school Denver history too!

Restaurant comfort and ambiance were wonderful. Started with cocktails and appetizers on the gorgeous outdoor patio. Cocktails were created and mixed by the great bartenders. Moved indoors for main meal. Ordered about a third of the menu items each was unique and amazing. Some were quite pricey for the portion size but each bite was exceptional. Never had better short ribs anywhere. Sampled two desserts that were also outstanding.

We had an excellent meal and experience. Everything was very nice and the restaurant has many cool spaces inside and out. Was not a fast meal, but more the way that dining should be.
The food, drinks and overall ambiance was exceptional. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and exhibited the right amount of attention. The patio was an excellent choice and the weather being fabulous made the night with special friends all the more spectacular. Three out of four of us had the pork dish (pork loin wrapped around a pork sausage) which is a most have again! Along with the watermelon, feta salad and Uncle Val's gin, which alone is a great reason to visit; we had a fantastic time.
