We enjoyed the Mediterranean plate with hummus, pita, and olives, and it was delicious! The homemade sangria was a standout. Max is very knowledgeable about the menu. I would highly recommend trying this place out!

After a scenic drive from Boulder, it was refreshing to relax and enjoy the cool vibe at the bar, which is more reminiscent of New York than the typical North Face-clad crowd. The bar has a unique mix of eye-catching decor, including a massive art deco wall painting, minimalism, and retro ephemera that feels like an art installation. It's a great place to spark conversation and appreciate the history behind the decor, without feeling like you're trying too hard to be hipster. The Manhattans were excellent and the conversation was lively and enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

We tried the Mediterranean plate with hummus, veggies, and bread and it was absolutely delicious. The homemade Sangria was also top-notch. Max really knows his drinks! Bar Max has a unique design with eye-catching mirrors and a large Art Deco mural that combines minimalism with retro elements. It's a cool spot reminiscent of a New York neighborhood rather than a typical outdoor gear store. The bar has a payphone from the 60s that adds to the eclectic vibe. The Manhattans were excellent, and the conversation was lively and enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back.
