We haven’t been to Aletto’s in a long time, but we were in the mood for lobsters. Aletto’s know how to prepare a 3 pound lobster. They were steamed and then broiled. Absolutely delicious. This restaurant has been here for more than 50 years. A testament to its longevity, and the people working here are very nice. View all feedback.
What Joe doesn't like about Alletto's In L:
We had the 2 lb lobsters which were cooked well and very tasty. Beware that the prices on the web site are not correct and have not been changed in a few years. Their website says a 2lb lobster is 29.95 if paid in cash. The actual price last night was 41.95. It was still good, but don’t go thinking you’ll pay the price listed on their website. I love seafood and I really want to like this place, I really do, but every time I come here it's a problem. First of all, no matter whether it's empty or packed it takes forever for the food to come out. When it finally does, there is always a problem. I have given this place multiple chances, because a friend of mine swears by it, but every time there was a problem! Once my food was cold. Another time, the food I waited 40 minutes for wasn't prepared how i ordered it. Yet another time, the lobster just wasn't right! The inside was full of giant black chunks. I know sometimes there are red chunks, but big black ones that kind of had an odor, no.. I'm NOT eating that. As for their prices, they were kind of steep, but you do get a lot so that's not so terrible. Honestly, I've tried Alletto's again and again. I like the atmosphere, I like the staff, but if I'm gonna be sitting there for over an hour every time I go there and they can't even get the drinks right, why bother?
Love the old world charm and ambiance! Best marinara sauce ever!!
Worst dining experience I have ever had. $468.00 down the drain, my fathers birthday ruined. Please avoid this restaurant. 3 full meals left on the table untouched, we are so disappointed. Avoid and go somewhere else and save your money.
This place is one of 2 places I have found on Long Island that makes Veal Marsala correctly. They start you off with a bowl of salad and different dressings. Then the bread... oh man. Hot and served with the salad. The staff made me feel like I was having dinner at a family members house. The atmosphere was quiet and seemed to have had my Playlist on shuffle. When you first walk in you walk directly into the bar. They bring you to the back to find 15 to 20 tables. The decor is nautical. Perfect place for a date night during the week. We ate like pigs and had a drink.
The food was perfect and made great by the chef tom but the rest of the service sucks The server was really rude and wanted me to get out of there
