I visited for lunch today and I have to say, the Dulce de Leche Burger is the best burger I've had in many years. It truly reflects the skill of the owner and the chef, delivering a perfectly cooked burger. I highly recommend it! Thanks for a fantastic lunch! Sorry for the picture of the burger that’s already partially eaten... it was just that good! View all feedback.

The food was delicious! I decided to step outside my comfort zone and ordered the strawberry Gouda Burger. It did not disappoint!

This place is absolutely amazing and definitely deserves more attention; it should be bustling with customers! I had the dulce de leche burger, which was cooked to perfection and had an incredible flavor! The owner, Tiles, is fantastic too!

We've been visiting the Backstretch every few months for the past five years since moving to Delaware, and we really enjoy the place. However, I was disappointed with what they advertised as a Cuban sandwich during our visit tonight. The description promised pork seasoned with a vibrant mix of traditional Cuban spices, but the only flavor I could identify—overpowering everything except for the dill pickles—was cinnamon. It was far from a good sandwich, let alone an authentic Cuban sandwich. Perhaps it should be called a cinnamon sandwich instead? I strongly urge you to either revise the recipe or update the menu—I would prefer the former. Traditional Cuban spices include onion, garlic, cumin, oregano, bay leaf, salt, pepper, cilantro, coriander, lime, and paprika, but cinnamon is notably absent. My Cuban friends have mentioned that the only dish they associate cinnamon with in Cuban cuisine is arroz con leche, or rice pudding.

On May 3, 2024, I had the pleasure of being served by Megan, who is fantastic as well! She crafted a smooth and strong Long Island for me, and we ordered the Cuban sandwich, which was packed with flavor and sizable enough to share. Of course, I had to get the mac and cheese again, and it was just as tasty and cheesy as before. Another wonderful experience with great service and outstanding food!
