Description

Nestled in Georgia, this budget-friendly breakfast spot serves generous, made-to-order Southern staples—buttery pancakes, honey-glazed biscuits, grits and plentiful bacon—often ready via call-ahead pickup within minutes. Portions are large, prices low, and staff are generally friendly and efficient, making it a popular grab-and-go favorite. However, seating is limited or absent and service can be inconsistent; occasional customer-service incidents and one reported food-safety concern temper otherwise enthusiastic praise.

Update: We returned after I had an appointment that I couldn’t be late for, since my companion had never been to Gutbusters before. When we returned, the cashier asked if we had been there earlier. We confirmed, and she told us to hold on. She then went to the kitchen and came back with the owner, who asked if I was the one who left a 1-star review. He found it strange that I would give him a bad review and then return. I tried to explain that my appointment was the reason for our earlier departure, but he still insisted it was odd for us to come back. Now here’s where the update takes a turn for the worse. I raised my rating to 2 stars because the food was delicious. However, a major issue with restaurants these days is the terrible customer service. When people choose to eat out, they want to treat themselves. Quality of food and customer service go hand in hand! I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism, and that the owner ensures that he and his staff prioritize excellent customer service. Customers tend to favor businesses where they feel welcomed and appreciated, often going out of their way for quality service. To the owner: I was very surprised and disappointed by your approach to my concerns during my visit. The younger staff were also watching and learning from this encounter. True leaders set a good example, and unfortunately, you did not demonstrate that today.

I advise you to avoid this place. He even charges extra if you want your pancakes served separately from the grits, eggs, and sausage. When I opened my plate, I found the grits mixed with paper—just unacceptable. I confronted him about how he would feel if someone served him food with paper, but he didn't answer. Instead, he remarked that no one else seems to complain, which I find hard to believe. I will be contacting the Georgia Health Department on Monday, as I can't understand how he thinks this is acceptable.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I ordered cheese eggs and grits with two biscuits, but I ended up receiving regular eggs and grits with only one biscuit. Unfortunately, I'm too far away to request a refund, so I'm feeling a bit disappointed. Service: 1/5.

An old favorite? You’re definitely getting your money's worth here. The food is tasty, and the staff is friendly. The prices are affordable, which is always a plus. The service is usually fairly quick as well. You can place your order in person, online, or over the phone. Just a heads up, this location doesn’t have seating. As for kid-friendliness, my kids absolutely love it, especially the [item] and [item].
