On the day, I was told a full cake couldn’t be arranged... read more I had reserved this restaurant to surprise my wife for her birthday and requested a cake the day before. On the day, I was told a full cake couldn’t be arranged due to time constraints and that a small dessert with candles would be provided instead. Unfortunately, the celebration was far below expectations. A small amount of cream with three simple candles was quietly placed on our table by a server who softly said “Happy Birthday” and walked away — no music, no atmosphere, no sense of occasion. Honestly, I feel that even a basic sandwich shop could have done a better job in creating a celebratory mood. What was meant to be a joyful surprise turned into a disappointing and awkward experience — a birthday we’ll remember, but sadly for all the wrong reasons. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
