If you are near Jumeirah Beach and looking for a budget friendly option, this is a great choice. The food is excellent, with a variety of options for seafood lovers. I tried their beef kadai and dragon chicken and both were good. Please note: They won't accept card payments.

This is the only restaurant in Jumeirah area that doesn’t have the card paymentand this is weird thing and even a small bakala have the card payment facility and this restaurant will offer card payments only to the locals and not to common peopleWe visited this restaurant 3 times before and we paid via bank transfers,so today we visited as per this assumption and they have denied the bank transfer and asked us to pay by cash. For the new customers atleast they have to inform them that they will accept only the cash payment, before taking any orders. In the counter ,yes they have already written that cash only acceptable and usually no one will notice it. We went there without the debit card,as we are always using the apple pay or bank transfer. Anyway we paid somehow and we leave from there. Ofcourse they are providing the good food with the minimum cost-you all can try if you have cash in Handotherwise you will be trapped and they will never help you out for sure. Thank you. We three of us were passing through and found the new Bu Qtair being very crowded as usual, while turning around , saw this new restaurant just inside the fisherman's residence area on the other side of the wall. They have good seating area outside and inside with oceanic theme decorating the inner walls. And they were hardly having any customers when we entered. They had a much smaller counter though they serve basically the same dishes. Selecting and weighing took few minutes. They knew English and that gave a huge advantage. Their detailed menu has all the common south Indian items and hummus etc. So it's not really a simple fresh fish fry joint but much more. The service is fast. Ambience is not much to speak of in spite of big space and light bulbs. The outside seating area must give a better Ambience during the time around sunset. The high point was the grilled and deep fried options of sherry, hamour , prawns. We took the deep frying option and as rightly pointed out by a previous reviewer , the fish was way too much deeply fried , so much so that the flesh shrunk to a hard mass and the skeleton showing at different areas. The shrimps were nice though. My accompanying pictures will tell you the story. But overall I felt something is missing in the taste compared to the old Bu Qtair. The zing was not there though it was pretty decent. I need to try another day at least to pass judgement on that. Overall this is a welcome joint to avoid the huge serpentine queues of the next door cult restaurant. It should be given preference by all and sundry.

As I am a foodie and like to taste different cuisine every time. It was weekend!! Hunting as usual for a new restaurant. Suddenly remembered my friend ishita Saha had reviewed this restaurant Al Fannah sea food restaurant. It's located in umm Suquiem fisherman Harbour!! Inside seating was okay okay . Outside was good. Ordered some fried prawns and grilled prawns!! And fried Hummour. They served with hummus , garlic chutney, fish gravy , khuboos , paratha!!! My son liked the grilled prawns!! We enjoyed hot hot prawns with the chill climate!!
