Great flavors! Our table ordered several appetizers and all were tasty. For entrees, we loved the chicken and ribs platter. The taziki sauce was delicious! Only disappointment was they were sold out of baklava by the time we finished our meals. Great place! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Drunken Goat Taverna:
The menu includes a limited number of Greek items as well as pizza. Even controlling for Canadian dollars, the Greek entrees are very expensive. We settled for the usual pita gyros. I had the lamb, my wife the chicken. The chicken and lamb were both tender, but the home-made tzatziki sauce made them very good. The house wine is inexpensive, although your choices are very limited. Service was good and friendly. The be... View all feedback.
Excellent food and wonderful owner! I'll come to Dawson for the food here alone.
Loved it! Great quality food, very fresh. Very generous portions. One thing: my friend ordered a souvlaki dinner, and had to pay an extra $3 for Tzatziki. I grew up in a Greek neighbourhood. Tzatziki is a stable, a small serving should be included in the price of a meal.
Needs more consistency. First things first..............I have always loved going for dinner at the Goat. Since I don't live in Dawson it is always a treat to go there when I'm in town.<br/ <br/ That being said I went there last Monday night as I am in town for the week. Monday is pizza only, which is fine, I love their pizza. But the service and food on Monday was not very good. We arrived at the restaurant around 6pm. There were 6 other people in the restaurant at the time. We ordered our pizza and then we waited and waited and waited. The waitress did not come over at any time to let us know why it was taking so long. 1 hour and 15 minutes later our pizza finally came. We were very hungry at this time and really excited to finally eat our meal. Well, the pizza was not hot. And the bottom of the crust was all soggy. It felt like it had been sitting out for at least 20 minutes. I was super disappointed. We ate our pizza and left.<br/ <br/ We went back to the Goat last night (Wednesday) and the service and food was amazing. It was a different waitress last night and she was wonderful. The food was so delicious (and hot).<br/ <br/ I'm not sure if Monday was just an off night for them. I hope that is all it was. I will come back to Goat again the next time I'm in town and I hope we get the same level of service as we did last night.

We had the lamb chops, the portions were huge and they were cooked perfectly. The waitress was wonderful and service great. The restaurant was very busy but service was fast. Don't hesitate going here and if you like lamb it's the best here.
