That being said, the staff knew exactly what was vegan and pointed everything out to me and answered all of my questions with no judgement or negativity. The Naan they serve is also vegan which is a huge bonus. It's a smaller restaurant in downtown Davis. Sitting on the outside patio next to a fountain made it super cute.

They also can make any of the breads vegan upon request, so had some of that too. We sat outdoors in their patio area and enjoyed a nice evening meal. The thali is a great deal and comes with a lentil dahl that can be made vegan upon request. The rice pudding dessert was the only non-vegan option in the thali but staff was helpful in pointing this out as I ordered. Will be back again soon. Has a lot of variety and staff is really good about helping to navigate menu based upon preferences.

They t... read more COOL Cuisine has gone into Yeti several times. The staff is very nice. While they have a vegetarian section, they only have about 3 items that are vegan. They told us they pre-make their spice mix at the beginning of each day using ghee and did not express willingness to cook vegetarian items from scratch using oil or margerine. We asked them if they would consider changing how they do this, and they expressed interest in being more vegan friendly, but the last time we were there, nothing had changed. It is a good place if you are vegetarian. They have outside seating, the staff is very friendly and the food (the vegan food we did taste) was yummy.

The drinks and apps come in about 25 min... read more Just got back from the worst dining experience of my life. We ordered wine, an appetizer, entrees and dessert up front. The drinks and apps come in about 25 minutes...but we never got our entrees. After 1:15 of patiently waiting they come over and giveus the bill. I had to tell them that we hadn't had all of our food yet, only the appetizers. After asking repeatedly what weordered even though it was on the check) we were left in suspense if our food would ever arrive. 20 minutes later I had to flagdown the owner to ask for our food to-go because I didn't want to be there anymore and I was assured it would be out quickly.Another 20 minutes elapsed and we got the food and went home. Unfortunately on top of that the curries and daal were fairlytasteless and as others have said the tomato flavor tasted canned. I used to love this place. I'd bring my mom when she visitedand friends from out of town. Even ordering catering for the holi celebrations. It really hurts me to write this review, but Idon't know if I can go back :

Great atmosphere dining in, whether you sit inside or outside. So many vegetarian options. But takeout is also a great option too (parking can be a bittricky if it’s busy though so consider bringing someone with you who can run in to grab it).
