Upon arrival, there was an error on the part of restaurant staff and i had to justify my reservation. It was embarrassing. Second, my steak was severely undercooked and a filet mignon shouldn’t have an issue like that. It had to be recooked and my date ate alone while that happened. The place is nice and quiet, very small and cozy. The food was really good and I was happy with every dish on the Valentines Day special. It was very pricey and they only serve beer and wine. I will go back for the food though.
Lovely lunch. Wonderful flavors. Delicate. Attentive service. A bit pricey. Clothes need to be aired of cooking smells afterward.

We had a lovely winter lunch here. Normally I only go to Osteria during nice weather to take advantage of the patio but I had forgotten how nice and cosy the dining room is. The food was outstanding seasonal, fresh, tasty and the service was friendly and warm. Honestly, the prices are no higher than any other full service restaurant and there is a real chef in the kitchen. Don't forget about this excellent option in Davis for a delicious meal and dining experience.
