Was JanChesterfield at The Peppermill a mag?
I used TA to find somewhere local to ear while travelling and an all day carvery fitted the bill perfectly so at 6pm on a Saturday Evening we pulled into a car park that was almost empty. Walked through the doors over a carpet so loaded with muck and debris it didn 't appear to have seen a vacuum cleaner for a week into a completely empty bar. The chap behind the bar said hello and confirmed they had stopped Serving.... View all feedback.
What david johnson dislikes about The Peppermill:
Over £26 paid for a meal that was nothing like the photos, only 2 choices at 4 pm, turkey, and pork, large burnt Yorkshire, warm on the outside, cold in the middle, veg? Burnt and uncooked, roast potatoes, not roasted, uncooked, and very small amount of pork. So over £26 paid, after refund? and ate half the Yorkshire, pork cracknell, and a few of the roast potatoes that were eatable. Worst meal, and for the price we... View all feedback.

Nice neighbourhood pub. A little sparse. Big garden outside but no TV. Nice parking also. Right next to a store and fish&chip shop. Good for a quick pint and watch an England match in the Euro's.
Went to The Peppermill tonight, we were let down as soon as we walked into the bar the lady had a very nasty attitude towards us, we will definitely never go again
Wednesday is curry night until around 8.30pm. Then bingo in the main room follows this. The darts team play their home games out of the back room.
Booked the function room for a small wake with buffet at lunchtime. The team were very helpful and buffet was lovely. Everything was ready on time and spot on. Worked wonderfully and very grateful for their help as it was tricky to find a venue which had good parking and suited everyone.
Thankyou to peppermill for a fantastic night for a friends bday party excellent all round x
The Peppermill offers a mixed dining experience with some customers praising the family-friendly atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food, while others were disappointed by cold and tasteless carvery options and subpar customer service. The local pub has a warm welcome, good ales, and offers great value for money, particularly for their Sunday carvery. The ambiance is clean and spacious, though lacking in traditional pub features. Overall, the Peppermill seems to cater to a variety of tastes and preferences, making it a mixed but potentially enjoyable dining option for those in Daventry.

Burnt and uncooked, roast potatoes, not roasted, uncooked, and very small amount of pork. So over £26 paid, after refund? and ate half the Yorkshire, pork cracknell, and a few of the roast potatoes that were eatable. Worst meal, and for the price we have ever had. And to be honest, people having the other meals, they had plates full of beef, mash, and gravy. We had a pittance. Oops, sorry, I had a beer tasted like vinegar, one sup, and left it. We were offered a free pudding, was a disgrace the worst Sunday lunch ever, and most expensive

We found this place randomly, we have to eat somewhere so glad that we, carvery only on a Sunday 12-4, £10 everyone. we had a nice cooked, not stingy on portions either, actually asked us how much we wanted, if we were enough, veg were all good, many choices, snatch, carrots, boobs, kartoffelmaisch, frying, stuffing pigs in cover yorkshires, decent thick gravur, (can not wear watery rubbish,) mint three of us it does not look like a traditional pub, it has a working men club vibe to him, but very clean, was nice cool and also, beautiful atmosphere, thirs, peace they eat in or take Asian cuisine as well, we will definitely be back without doubt. would like to make it at least a monthly visit. forget about, pictures of dessert, cheesecake, chocolate fudge cake.
I've been in this pub for a long time, it wasn't a pleasant experience at that time! but today I took my mother there for Mother's Day Lunch..and it was flowering! the food was great, much it and very tasty, the price was great and the beer was, uh, great! would recommend it definately and return definately.
I have here to my oncles 25 years high-time, eating that they gave up was great(course) and the camp was good,
Big open mic jam night yesterday we were really welcomed and felt supported and encouraged by the more experienced players. really helpful if we needed it! I look forward to coming back next month!
Spent a wonderful afternoon here, catching up with family. Landlord was so welcoming, as we're the locals, really friendly and amiable. Lovely outside area under the cover or in the sunny area. Didn't eat there this time, but we'll be back to do just that, as menu looked really good. Overall, a well deserved 10/10.
