We enjoyed a lovely dinner in a beautiful setting by the canal. Two of us had the tomato soup with warm bread which was delicious. My husband had the sweet potato curry which was good and flavourful. My wine was lovely and the sticky toffee... View all feedback.
What kenn649 doesn't like about The Boatman:
I’m used to not getting Vegan food in pubs up North (it is improving) but it’s usually easier in the South. Except it seems at a Marston pub. You’d think a chain would make sure it catered to a range of people. A choice of... View all feedback.
During a canal barge holiday, we spontaneously visited The Boat House without a reservation. The food and drinks were amazing, especially the Rosie's Pig cider which I highly recommend. However, my head didn't agree with the cider the next morning. Overall, it was a fantastic meal in a charming location.
I had a wonderful experience at this charming pub/restaurant. The staff was very attentive, the food was fabulous, and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be returning when the weather improves to enjoy the garden and canal.
Had a very enjoyable lunch on the terrace. Was blowing a gale....but never the less was nice to be outside and watch the watercraft go up and down the canal. Its such a tranquil spot with million pound views. Great place to dock and have a spot of lunch or dinner.
I recently dined at The Boathouse, which was very crowded. The fish and chips were delicious. I'm not sure if it goes well with a pornstar martini, but oh well.
We ordered 3 burgers with fries and coleslaw. Fries were cold and replaced, burgers overcooked and tasteless, coleslaw mostly cabbage stalks, half a pint of Diet Coke £3.50, what a disappointment this was , we were trying to relive a memory of going there two years ago when everything was excellent, won’t be going again. Have tried to email pub but there link doesn’t work.
