I first stumbled into this cafe when it first opened about September-October 2016. I had a job down the road from it. It's been my favourite cafe ever since. Every time I go there everything is spot on. It's now July 2017. Looks nice and modern. Staff is friendly. This is a little cosy and well decorated caffe very well located in Darlinghurst. Their service is below average though. My order came wrong, food was cold and I had to cancel two capuccinos because they were simply not prepared. There is room for improvement. View all feedback.

Thoughtful decor, excellent food - not a single item misses the mark - and friendly staff make this cafe the best I've been to in years. Tried it out a month ago and now I'm there every week, at least twice - and I don't even live or work locally!

I was wandering the streets of Sydney looking for a cool place to have a coffee in and stumbled upon Philosophy in the middle of 'Italian Corner' in Darlinghurst.Service: 9/10I was warmly greeted upon arrival, seated instantly and served immediately. My coffee order was delivered to me within 4 mins of ordering and my request for water was attended to very quickly.Coffee: 8.5/10The coffee was served at the perfect temperature, had beautiful cup art on it and tasted divine. With the extra shot, it wasn't as strong as I would have liked it, but it still went down a treat and I loved every second of it.Venue: 9/10Philosophy is a stylish, hip and comfortable cafe nestled in a bustling street. You can sit there and just watch the world go by. You won't be dissapointed.Hopefully I can visit again for a meal!
We live around the corner and stumbled on this place not long after it had opened.The staff are really friendly.The coffee is great - and a large is served a proper mug! The breakfasts here are delicious. Generous portions, unique but very tasty ingredients and there isn't a load of oil left on your plate afterwards. Can't wait for more people to discover this gem!
