What Anonym dislikes about Philosophy Cafe:
This is a little cosy and well decorated caffe very well located in Darlinghurst. Their service is below average though. My order came wrong, food was cold and I had to cancel two capuccinos because they were simply not prepared. There is room for improvement. View all feedback.
Just Amazing! Coffee and breakfast to die for! don't look anywhere else for a Sunday Brunch or a work lunch! Kent (the owner) will always look after you like friends without invading your space and the staff is always very friendly!
Looking for a new place to eat, we came here for lunch and noticed that they have a lunch special of either burger/pasta with a soft drink for $13.50. I ordered their lamb burger with haloumi and chorizo which wasn't too bad. I liked their chips that came on the side as it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My work colleague tried their penne but found it too heavy/rich in cream. The cafe looks small from the outside, but we saw many people walking through to the back. So I think there is more seating at the back or upstairs. It was quite warm inside as they don't have any air conditioning and service was a bit slow at the start but they were very friendly and the lunch deal is not a bad deal.
I came here with my group of friends and service was so bad, had to wait a long time to take order and they did not like it when one of us just asked for water. Food was so-so, but service means I will not come back.
Tried their $10 lunch deal. It was chicken curry and rice. The amount was generous and it tasted really good. I also loved the ambience of the place comfortable, cozy, clean and books. Definitely worth a visit.
