What Magdalena Hills doesn't like about Dumplings & Beer:
The food was OK and the prices were reasonable. The biggest problem I had was the random byo policy and the attitude of staff. They told me 1 bottle per couple over the phone and when we arrived he said he told me no byo on Friday's. When we argued they made out like they were doing us a big favour by allowing our 2 bottles of wine for 6 ppl and said we couldn't have any more. But then we saw a group of 3 with 2 byo... The decor of paper machee Asian newspapers on the tables and bar coupled with the warmth in music choice, fittings and both indoor and outdoor areas make this an inviting choice for a casual meet up. The dumpling fillings are quite chunky with a selection chosen involving prawn, chives and scallops, and beef rendang sliders. read moreAlthough it may be a bit pricey, like most places in the city, the dumplings were quite tasty! I would suggest it for those just in need of a quick snack.
Very good restaurant, quality food, served quickly and really good prices. What more the ask for?
