Popped in here with friends for a proper Sunday lunch and proper it was! Lovely roast beef, big Yorkshires and good veg. The real winner was the Mac Cheese. Wine list is short but good value with some nice reds. Great service, our waitress was lovely, friendly and accommodating, paying special attention to the 2 kids that were with us. View all feedback.
The Sunday Roast at this restaurant is fantastic! The beetroot starter is absolutely amazing - you have to give it a try!
I'd been away from home for at least 5 days, I'd struggled to find anything I wanted to eat in Hong Kong and I was actually a bit homesick. Pathetic I know, but thats how it was!So I and some of my friends back home did some googling to find a place that does a decent Roast on a Sunday, now I've been burnt before, not matter how many times the very lovely Turkish waitier tells you its just like home, it isn't, not even close!I was nervous and it was a bit of a wander to find this place, my route took me through some backstreets, that whilst not unsafe were clearly not 'tourist' Sydney. I eventually found this little gem of a place. To me, in a place that serves food, that is always going to be my primary concern. The service is the second vital thing. The rest, decor etc, is nice to have, but not essential. For what it's worth I loved the decor, it was very retro, hints of British (the owners are from here I believe) and with cute little booths down the middle. The service was better than any other I'd had in Sydney, the waitresses were friendly, informative about the area and most of all informed about the food. When I asked for extra gravy etc, it was done with a smile and quickly too.I can give no higher praise to the food of this place other than it was equal to the food that my Mum and Nan cook at home. It was delicious and I am impressed that in 30c heat anyone can survive in a kitchen let alone cook a decent meal.So in summary, the service was amazing, the food was amazing and it didn't break the bank.
This was an amazing roast, the yorkshire pudding was huge, and the meal lived up to its reviews. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are super friendly.

Sunday roast, I had the lamb shoulder option, was great. Lamb was very tender and all the sides were delicious. The fit out and atmosphere are great too.
