My family and I went here back when it used to be called Coco Keys. It’s clean and fun. We had a great time and always planned on going back but now we live thousands of miles away. View all feedback.
What superwavey drip doesn't like about Water Park Of New England:
The absolute worse experience! The water was cold, not all of the slides were open, one of the basketball hoops were broken but was still open for use. We waited outside where they buy tickets for the water park to check in for about ten minutes but the person working at the front never said anything to us when we were standing there so we just walked into the water park and met with one of my parents who already had... I brought my 5 year old brother for his birthday. So the water park itself was a decent water park other than the fact that parents just let their young children run around unsupervised so on the bigger slides those kids would get away with cutting the whole line and literally pushing other kids out of the way…Secondly at the kiddy section some of the older kids would be pushing the shy kids or being just little bullies (and adults cant go on those slides so its hard to control). Aside from kids being kids…. Most of the staff was very nice however one life guard (young brunette with short hair) was at the kiddy section being absolutely appalling towards little kids. She would get super close to a kids face and yell so rudely to move and get away, literally those words exactly. You can say to move out of the way in a kinder but firm tone to children she looked like she was about to snap though. Then she physically grabbed a really small kids arm and yanked to move him. I was horrified seeing this as little kids limbs are so fragile he could have been really hurt. She never smiled once and looked miserable. Had that been my child she grabbed, you bet I would have gotten police involved. You may get frustrated with your job which is totally normal but if you cant handle being around rowdy kids then this definitely isnt a job for you. She should be fired.Aside from those negatives, they do have a little cafe inside which is okay. Bathrooms and lockers if you want to put bags in, although many people left bags on tables and it seemed safe enough (mostly families there). I left my stuff on a table the entire day and it was fine. The girls at the desk are very helpful and polite.Keep in mind they cant open during a storm or lightening (even if it is an indoor water park) but they are good about letting you redeem your tickets for another day if that is the case!
The lack of safety was appalling. We left after one hour. I saw a countless number of children fall completely backwards and smack their heads on the floor. They are definitely understaffed as of July 2023. The lifeguards looked extremely stressed out and could not manage traffic on the slides safely. The two large water slides are closed, along with the hot tubs. But I will again reiterate, the lack of safety was appalling and they should not be open until the floors are fixed and they are adequately staffed.
My 6 year old had so my fun at her friends birthday party although would like staff to please re-examine height restriction for kiddie section pool. My daughter is a very tall 6 year old (could easily pass for 8) and the height restriction is 48inch for the small blue and red slides. She was able to go in them for a while but then toward the end of the time there she was measured and she stands about 50 inches. Please consider changing the restriction at least to 52/54 inches. She had no problem on the slides and I’m glad that she was able to go on the slides for a bit as all of her friends could and she would have been the only one singled out. I understand safety but please consider that kids are taller these days and still young and would love to go down slides such as these. Please consider making some adjustments to make the height taller if possible which would really be something positive for kids who are taller but young enough to enjoy the smaller slides.
In my opinion,it is a little bit outdated and pricey($50 p/p). We got there early when they opened, and the tables were not clean, and there was trash, so I cleaned our tables and picked the trash around it. The park is more suitable for younger kiddos. What like the most is that the restaurant has a variety of food in their menu and is affordable, especially if you have a group of 6+.Besides that is OK.
The waterpark is fun for the kids, the small children area is large enough to have babies and toddlers even big kids play safely together. The middle Parrot Perch area is fun going up and down, waiting your turn for the water slides and unexpectedly being dumped a huge bucket of water. There is an activity for all ages. Minus two stars because yesterday and today, both day we visited, the hot tub/jacuzzi was room temperature, the bar drinks are juice in an ice filled cup and a splash of alcohol not worth the amount of money charged and the food is less than ideal for the prices. I'm yet to find an attraction like this that have decent food though, it's like since you are obligated to buy from them they won't even try to give you good food for the expected expensive price they charge.
