What Tania Meier doesn't like about Koi Palace:
Lousy quality food and much overpriced for Dim sum. So Har gao is $8.50 letting you down? That's absurd. We've got 10 dishes and we've paid $70 for it. First meal here in 10 months...new chef?? The food has always been consistently good but the meal I picked up last week was really wonderful!! I ordered mostly standard white boy dim sum but every flavor and texture was nuanced and special. I can't wait to return, sorry I live an hour away. View all feedback.

read moreDespite being a popular spot for authentic Chinese food, some diners felt that the prices did not match the quality of the dishes. One reviewer mentioned that the dim sum was overpriced and lacked heat when taken out, while another noted that the fried rice was terrible. Although some dishes were good, such as the boiled chicken and Peking duck, the lack of traditional dim sum options disappointed some guests. On a positive note, the location in Daly City received praise for its tasty offerings like rice rolls and Siu mai. Additionally, the authenticity of the food was highly praised by those who appreciated the traditional Chinese dining experience and the quality of the dishes. Overall, the restaurant received mixed reviews, with some diners recommending specific items and advising against going too early to avoid delays in receiving certain dishes. Despite some negative feedback on pricing and service inconsistencies, others enjoyed the variety of the menu and top-notch quality of the food.
