Palmer's Hot Chicken, Catfish And Shrimp

The French fries here are fantastic, but the rest of the menu is just average. I recently tried the chicken Caesar salad wrap, and it was underwhelming, though still edible. Palmer's has a nice atmosphere with a pleasant patio, but it's a bit inconveniently located for me, making the trip feel less worthwhile. On the bright side, the service is always excellent, and the staff is very helpful with any questions I had.

I drove 20 minutes out of my way to visit this restaurant and ordered the Big Dark to go. After standing at the counter for 25 minutes, the manager informed me that they were out of dark meat, even though I could see the kitchen staff pulling dark meat out of the fryer. They offered me a beer while I waited an additional 20 minutes for the dark meat, but I opted for white meat instead. They managed to find one dark piece for me, and the manager generously added a few extra tater tots and two desserts on the house as an apology. I appreciate his efforts to make things right, so I can't hold that against him. However, my previous visits had been excellent, and this experience was disappointing. To top it off, the leg/thigh quarter I received was mushy and had an unusual taste. I'm feeling quite sick this morning as a result.

I make an effort to avoid fried food these days, but when I'm in the mood for it (like today), Palmers is definitely one of my top choices! I think this restaurant doesn't get the recognition it deserves, so I really hope anyone reading this will consider giving it a try. Be sure to try their signature chicken sandwich with the tasty pimento cheese! Just a heads up: the Nashville hot flavor is quite spicy! I enjoy spicy food, but this one definitely packs a punch. Also, once you're familiar with their menu, don't miss out on their daily specials for the best value!

First thing I gotta say, IMMACULATE !This place blew me and my boyfriends mind away. We had initially tried the mother clucker chicken sandwich at the state fair. Immediately after the first bite we knew we had to find the restaurant to come back and enjoy more food.1. Customer service is amazing and soo sweet !2. Food is DELICIOUS! Came out hot and fast ! From the sandwich to the sides even the banana pudding, we demolished them all ! Full of great flavor.Will definitely come back soon and will recommend it to anyone !P.s. server with the flannel cashiering and the owner really made us feel soo welcomed. Y’all are awesome!
