Fantastic authentic Caribbean cuisine! I particularly enjoyed the oxtail and beef patties. Just a heads-up—the restaurant transforms into a club later in the evening, so it can get quite loud.
The waitress was friendly, and the drinks were great, but I found the food to be lacking in authenticity. As a Jamaican, I felt it was overly salty and not something I enjoyed. I think next time I’ll just stick to the drinks.

I enjoy my two visits and plan to revisit every other Thursday. I love Poetry nights. Fun, silly hosts, clean environment, and great vibes.
We spent a week in Dallas and dined at a different restaurant each night. The Island Spot was our favorite in terms of both atmosphere and food. The drinks were fantastic, and the staff was wonderful. If I lived here, I would definitely become a regular! The portions were generous, and you could really taste the love in the cooking.
