The Crafty Irishman - Dallas

I only visit Dallas in New Jersey once a year for a convention, and I always dream about the delicious lamb pie. I finally had the chance to try it again during my recent trip. The servers were also very friendly. I would give this restaurant 5 stars, but unfortunately, I can only give it 4 stars because it is not a vegan spot. The food was so delicious!

When I left the restaurant, there were only two options available: a veggie burger or shepherd's pie. The shepherd's pie was very flavorful but a bit too salty for my liking. I must admit, I tend to find things too salty, so it may just be a personal preference. The staff were attentive and friendly. The outdoor seating area is dog-friendly and perfect for people-watching, as many passersby take their pups to the nearby dog park. Overall, it's a pleasant and relaxing place to enjoy a meal.

The restaurant only offers two vegan options: a veggie shepherds pie and a veggie burger. The vegetables were cooked unevenly and lacked flavor. It seems like they have compromised on quality if even the raw vegetables have no taste.

This place had earlier some pretty good options, but when I last visited, I was very disappointed to discover that they get rid of several vegan options. pretty all they have now are a black bohnenburger (I think that was a frozen morning star patty) and a vegan shepards cake that is okay, not great.

Server tonight told us they are getting rid of the vegan curry and grilled cheese off the “vegan menu” not much of a menu now but the burger (no mayo to make it vegan) and shepherds pie
