Contribute FeedbackKing Thai restaurant offers a delicious dining experience with authentic Thai flavors in Dallas. Despite some service issues reported by customers, the food quality impresses across the menu items. The shrimp tempura, Thai curries, and signature Bangkok Spice dish are delightful. Service varies among the staff, but the attentive and friendly demeanor of some servers stands out. The reasonable pricing for the high-quality food adds to the positive dining experience. Overall, King Thai is a top pick for those looking for genuine Thai cuisine in the area.
Their service and quality of the food has deteriorated so much. Recently, I ordered to-go lunch meals over the phone, but found out later that they charged me for dinner price. When I called and questioned about the order and charge, the gentleman over the phone was rude and insisted that it 's MY fault not to tell him that I did not want order dinner meal during lunch time. Really?! For the 30% more expensive dinner lunch, their beef in Pad Thai and Red Curry was dry and hard to chew. Will never return.
First, want to say the food was well cooked and no complaints. However, my wife and I ordered two beers and the waiter was adamant we had three beers wanting to charge us for a third beer. We tried to explain yes we asked three times; however, only got two beers. She threatened with looking at the camera, in which, we had no issues with. However, the manager or owner came over and explained it could been mistake on their end and was very cordial. I won't say don't go here as the food was great. However, I will never be going back due to this rude staff.
I ordered the shrimp tempura base off of the description with was; crispy shrimp tempura, pickled cucumber, chili flakes, asparagus, scallions, Wasabi Mayo on a bed of warm seasoned short-grain rice and what was delivered was 4 pieces of fried shrimp.
Wish I could comment on the food but never got a chance to try it. My daughter and I went there for lunch yesterday but were completely ignored by the staff. We stood by the front door waiting to be acknowledged but were ignored by three different staff members. Finally got sick of standing there and walked across the parking lot to Pluckers.
Waitress brusquely waved us toward a table. When we sat down one of us said hello and she pointedly refused to answer. She did not make eye contact with us, nor spend one second more on us than absolutely necessary. I watched her with other customers and she smiled and was most polite to them. Something was clearly bothering her about us. I felt very unwelcome. I've eaten here several times and have never been treated this way before. This time we had a guest with us who was an older gay gentleman. He didn't make a fuss but I'm sure he noticed. I don't know what her problem was, but I will not be going back!
