Rice and veggies we're cooked perfectly. Good service. Great food. Affordable. Spent less than 20 bucks for 2 people. Sketchy neighborhood. People standing near drive thru begging... Get your food and get out lol View all feedback.
What Jennifer Jackson doesn't like about Rice Bowl Express:
I've eaten here a several times but after tonight I need to find better Chinese food. But its fast food Chinese. Yuck. The rice was very much over cooked, no eggroll is given with any meal. I called was told No, it was not included. I ordered a side dish of fried rice. I cant eat shrimp. What I got was a side order of just brown rice, no flavor, no vegetables- nothing. My chicken in the Sesame chicken was dry. Just s... View all feedback.
The decor is uninviting. I've dined here multiple times, but today the food was disappointing! The rice was overcooked in all three dishes. The chicken in the Sesame Chicken was dry and lacked freshness. The General Tso's wasn’t spicy at all. This felt like fast food. I didn't even receive a receipt.
I've dined here several times, but after tonight, I need to find better Chinese food. Unfortunately, it's more like fast food Chinese, and I wasn't impressed. The rice was overcooked, and no egg roll is included with any meal—when I called to ask, I was told that it wasn't part of the meal. I ordered a side of fried rice, but since I can’t eat shrimp, I expected something flavorful. Instead, I received a side of plain brown rice—no flavor, no vegetables, nothing at all. The chicken in the sesame chicken dish was dry, with just sauce poured over it. Everything felt stale and lacking freshness. Overall, it was very disappointing!
This is my favorite spot for Chinese takeout. I usually prefer buffets, but when that's not an option, I always come here. I typically use the drive-thru, and while there's usually a line, they manage to move pretty quickly. I've never waited more than 20 minutes. The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The only change I've noticed is that the portion sizes have gotten a bit smaller compared to when I first started visiting this location years ago, probably due to recent economic inflation.
I love the schezwan chicken, the last couple of times I literally got a plate of onions, peppers and I added broccoli (which was WAY overcooked) and rice, hardly any chicken. The flavor was on point though. I ordered their wings, didn't like them but overall this place is good and affordable
Gave it 5 stars before only 1 star this time. My food was not tasty at all dumplings fried to hard so was the crab Rangoon no crab at all in it egg drop soup disgusting so were the egg rolls best thing I ate that day were the pieces of fried wonton for the soup waste of money!!!
