How pleasantly surprised I was at the delicious buffet offerings here! I'm not usually a fan of buffet, price is usually too high for the amount of food I reasonably eat. This was well priced, and the selection of dishes was fresh, delicious, andauthentic. I am a big fan of Indian food and have not found many great restaurants yet in the Dallas area. Mumbai Grill is nowMY neighborhood Indian food. Spiced perfectly and all the accompaniments to go with. They even had dessert, which I was toofull to eat! Can't wait to bring my friends here to get some good food!
I've only eaten here for the lunch buffet. They have a great selection of food and their naan bread was fresh and delicious! I forgot to take a pic of the bread! The only complaint would be that the chicken breast in the dishes were a little dry but thatcan be due to it being a buffet. But overall, not too bad a price at $13.99!
**Atmosphere:** 1. The restaurant is spacious; the left side features a buffet setup, while the right side has plenty of seating for groups. 2. You can find tables of various sizes, accommodating everything from couples to larger parties. 3. The interior is well-lit and clean, with nice decor. **A major downside:** 1. The restroom had an awful smell—I’ve never encountered such a terrible odor in a restaurant. **Food:** They offer a range of spice levels from mild to extra spicy, so be sure to indicate your preference when ordering. 1. The Matar Paneer was outstanding! The gravy was thick and fragrant, tantalizing our taste buds. However, we asked for it to be extra spicy and found it lacking in heat. 2. The Chicken 65 was rather bland and didn’t taste authentic. It had a hint of BBQ sauce, and we’ve definitely had better Chicken 65 at other Indian restaurants. 3. The Butter Naan might just be the best I’ve ever tasted! It had a paratha-like texture, with a lovely flavor from the Indian herbs and butter. It was a bit on the moist side rather than crispy, which I enjoyed. I appreciate when restaurants offer free water, and this one did, too. The staff were pleasant and courteous, but they could benefit from a few more smiles! Overall, I’m giving this restaurant a 3-star rating primarily due to the unpleasant restroom experience, which negatively impacted my overall enjoyment. Nevertheless, I would still recommend trying the restaurant, especially for the Matar Paneer.
The food is outstanding, a solid 10, with fantastic spices and served piping hot. I highly recommend the naan. However, the service could have been a bit quicker, especially considering the restaurant was only at 10% capacity. The only downside was that the table for four was a bit cramped for comfortably enjoying our meal.
I highly recommend this restaurant! We've sampled numerous Indian buffets in Dallas, and this one is our favorite. They offer a wide variety of dishes in their buffet. The restaurant is spacious and well-maintained. The food is flavorful and fresh, and the waitstaff is very attentive.
