I have lived in Oakcliff for many years and always drove by Mi Sazon but never went in. Today, I decided to check it out and was impressed by the delicious homemade style food. I ordered the gorditas and they were good! I wish I had visited sooner View all feedback.
What RARC doesn't like about Mi Sazon Mexican:
This establishment went down. The taste and quality of food is not worth the price.Coffee tastes burnt not freshly brewed. [Or maybe machine needs to be cleaned]Agua fresca was subpar.Chips taste off. Please go back to the original drawing board for a traditional Mexican restaurant.Today I'm giving Menudo a try. The margaritas are great for $9; although they only use Sauza, they put a decent amount of of it in there to where you can taste the bite of the tequila and still enjoy the sweetness of the mix. I 'm giving it an extra star for that. The service was decent. The restaurant was almost completely full, but the server still attended to us well. I tipped 20% for them and they smiled and thanked me.The food wasn 't so appealing. The chips are average. The salsa is a bit lower than average. The chori-queso was a lot of queso and barely any chorizo, which also meant it was drenched in grease. It filled me up quickly, but I was really hoping for more chorizo like the picture on the menu.Overall, I 'm probably not coming back here. It 's just not worth the drive when there are better restaurant options in the area.
I went to eat at lunch time. I did not like. The food had no taste. The waitresses with angry faces. They took a long time for the food.
I’ve been holding back on putting a review because this place was always my “go to” for so long. Then, it got sold to a new owner and slowly things changed. A few times the staff laughed at me and refused to help me because I don’t speak Spanish . When I call to make an order, if I don’t speak Spanish they hang up on me. Well, today was my FINAL straw and that sucks because I do adore their food… until now. I will enclose a video. Today, I ordered a burrito with everything in it. I guess they took that literally. I like to cut my burrito in half and add the chips and salsa they give and eat it like a taco bowl. Today was no different. However, as I was digging in and enjoying my food- I stumbled onto something hard. I felt around and it was a damn metal bread tie in the center of my burrito! Are you fan kidding me?! If I ate that, I could have gotten seriously hurt. I now ate something contaminated with metal and plastic. I will be seeking legal help. So damn gross!
The Chilaquiles were outstanding, and the portion was huge. I didn’t really like the chips, but the salsa was very flavorful and just the right amount of
