Humble: Simply Good Pies - Dallas

Omg, so good. I was expecting the pie to be good but i wasn’t expecting the best crust I’ve ever had in my life. I wish I had a picture but it was already gone before i thought of it.

A bit after noon, I ordered the Blueberry pie, and Texas Bourbon pie. The Blueberry pie left much to be desired, and was promptly disposed of after one sour bite. The pungent smell that I still can’t place, should have been my first clue that something was amiss the mushy chalky texture, and absence of the juicy nuanced sweetness of summer berries left me wanting. No dancing notes of tart sweet blue juice to speak of. I sincerely hope this is a fluke as I have had excellent pies from this establishment.

Sean was great! Awesome guy and the pie....everyone loved it. We grabbed slices for everyone chocolate cream, starwberry tarts, and bayou goo. All were well balanced rich but not heavy, sweet and light. Truly worth the stop in to this gem in Dallas!

Placed an online order for the strawberry rhubarb pie for pick-up,was not disappointed, my husband and I finished the pie in 2 days. Made with fresh ingredients and had a very generous filling. Also bought a slice of the lemon ice box to enjoy inside the pie shop, it was frozen when it was served to us so i wasn't able to enjoy it then. While it's the same recipe used, it seemed to taste quite a bit of condensed milk, maybe just me, but i may try another slice to see if I experience the same issue, maybe it was just a bad batch.

One of the best pie shops I've experienced. The crust is incredible. I had the cherry and loved it. You won't regret going here to satisfy your sweet tooth.
