El Palote Panaderia - Dallas

The street tacos at this restaurant are truly amazing and authentic. They are so delicious, you wouldn't even believe they're vegan. This family-owned restaurant is awesome, and the al pastor taco platter is a must-try. I often bring my non-vegan friends and family here, and they absolutely love it.

I must admit, I decided to visit this restaurant because of the pan dulce. I have been craving pan dulce for so long, so being able to choose from a selection of vegan pan dulce was incredible, and we may have gone a bit overboard with our order. The staff was fantastic, offering us samples of their protein choices when we inquired about them. We tried four different options and ended up loving the al pastor and fajita proteins the most. We also ordered the loaded fries, elote, and horchata. The loaded fries with fajita protein were delicious, and the elote was good as well, although it was served in a cup and felt like it was missing something. My only complaint was that all of our food and drinks were served in styrofoam, even though we were dining in, which was disappointing.

The crispy chicharron was absolutely amazing! They have perfected the vegan meats with incredible flavor. Their desserts are also outstanding! I will definitely go out of my way to dine here for many years to come.

They’ve got everything you could hope for. Plenty of protein flavor options and everything we tried was delicious (good texture and ‘meaty’ flavor). The rice and beans are solid. Got a filling chimichanga plate and taco plate with drinks for under $40 and it’s all vegan! Very nice staff as well. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-09

Is a vegan Mexican restaurant. The meat is simulated with dehydrated soy, marinated in different styles. Very good and a reasonable price.
