Located in beautifully restored 18th-century stables in historic Dalkeith Country Park, just a short drive from the city centre of Edinburgh, our cafe offers a fresh, local, and seasonal menu. The spacious and light-filled cafe features ceiling-to-floor windows with views of the River Esk and the estate's famous Orangerie. We are open seven days a week until late afternoon and strive to accommodate all dietary needs.

I love going for afternoon tea but if you are looking for a seriously indulgent afternoon tea experience, you need to visit Colonnades.
My husband and I had the best Afternoon Tea here! Great ambience and superb, flawless, service.
This was a highlight of our tripThe signet library is located behind st Giles cathedral.
The food and service at this restaurant were both fantastic. The dessert menu is a must-try, with options like chocolate cake, bread pudding with vanilla sauce, and freshly fried churros with dulce de leche sauce. It was extremely hard to pick a favorite out of the three delicious desserts.
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The service was excellent, our server was very friendly. The food was delicious and there were plenty of choices on the menu.
