Nestled by the canal, Rising Sun boasts an inviting ambiance and friendly staff. While the location enchants with picturesque views and a cozy beer garden, the culinary offerings can disappoint, particularly the underwhelming ham and cheese platter. Patrons celebrate the excellent “riser bitter” and a lively atmosphere, though reports of overworked staff and a dysfunctional management dynamic linger. Despite these concerns, visitors are drawn back for the warmth, charm, and community spirit of this local gem. For a delightful drink amid charming surroundings, Rising Sun remains a noteworthy stop along Berko's canal-side pubs.

Was User at Rising Sun Pub a mag?
I had a lovely drink in the cozy beer garden and enjoyed an amazing quesadilla! The staff were really friendly. I highly recommend this place over all the other canal-side pubs in Berko. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Rising Sun Pub:
Whilst visiting family in berko for a weekend last month I thought I’d go for a few quiet pints at a local joint, quiet it was not whatsoever. I must say the “riser bitter” was off the charts an amazing hearty pint that roused the...soul and made the whole trip worth while. The location was idyllic, the canal views brought tears to my eyes. Overall I will say I recommend coming to this pub, the warm welcoming staff m... View all feedback.

I recently visited the Rising Sun, which is situated along a series of larger pubs by the canal. It had great reviews and a lovely appearance, so I was looking forward to my experience. However, the ham and cheese platter we ordered left much to be desired. We were informed that one of the apples was missing and that more cheese would be brought out. Unfortunately, what we received was disappointing: a small amount of dried-out blue cheese, two cheap slices of ham, four tiny pickles, and a small baguette that tasted more like something from a supermarket. For £9, it was truly underwhelming and not at all like the appetizing photos we had seen in the gallery. After finishing our meal, we noticed two other pubs just 20 meters down the canal that appeared to offer much better dining options.

Loved the truck rooms with i side of truck rooms also the online site was amazing a spoken in length about truck rooms

The personal here is excellent and very friendly. we had queensadilla for lunch and it was perfect, exactly what we were looking for! highly recommended!

The restaurant features a lovely ambiance with beautiful people and a great location. They have an impressive selection of beers. Additionally, their delicious flower and nachos make for a perfect lunch break by the canal.

Great pub with a lively atmosphere and enthusiastic staff. We had a wonderful time enjoying the place on a warm summer evening during their beer festival. We sampled all 15 local ales on offer and were very pleased. Highly recommended!
