Dog and child fri... read more We love the Monks Inn, eclectic and friendly group of people, customers and staff. The landlord is brilliant warm, enthusiastic and welcoming. Dog and child friendly : We go in to taste our way through the extensive beer and cider menus and play cards. It's lovely seeing people in there working on their laptops, a family playing chess with their child, and regular Cilla the dog bewildered because we were sitting at her table. Totally friendly and accessible to everyone :

Clint's help in organizing everyt... read more I recently attended a music event at Monks Inn, and I was impressed with the warm and personal welcome and goodbye I received. Clint's help in organizing everything was exceptional. The friendly audience made for a special night that I look forward to experiencing again in the future. Can't wait to go back!

Beer is well maintained and changed every Wednesday or straight away in busy times. Occasional live acoustic music and bingo. Regular quiz night, car and biker meets. No food but will allow food brought in on concession of staff or owners. Cash is best for for them but card is also welcome (might be a limit so start a tab if solo drinking).
