The GJA is a victim of its own delicious food and great location. I would love to give it a 5-star rating, but the wait times to be served were quite lengthy. That said, the...
As a family we love this pub ...great food and surroundings ....unfortunately when ever we visit it's a nightmare. Twenty people deep at the bar as...
The venue, garden, location, and staff were all satisfactory. However, our experience was dampened by two issues. Firstly, there was a strong sewerage odor in the area, which was unpleasant during our lunch. Secondly, several of our dishes were unsatisfactory. I personally found my ham and chicken pie to be bland, while another guest was surprised by the level of chili in her pasta. Some of our group left significant portions of their meals uneaten, and the service was a bit slow. We spent over £320 for a group of 9, which is acceptable for a good restaurant but not for low-quality pub food. We do not plan on returning until improvements are made, such as changing the chef and addressing the sewer smells.
