I thought it was just me and that's why I didn't put a comment on before. In my opinion and it is only my opinion. You just don't feel welcome at this place unless you are a local, play tennis or a friend. Now that is fine if that's the business model and good luck to the owner. I just don't bother going there now after three similar experiences. The last one was the nail in the coffin for me. We hired the back room for a christening. The owner was very helpful and the charge was a fair price. We organised the time for the food to be served after the church finished. Unforts for some reason when we arrived the food hadn't even been put on and we had to wait 1 and 1/2 hrs to 2 hours for food. Everyone was starving. Anyway. Whinge over. The breakfast is a fair price and the food is good quality and varied. Don't ask for anything other than the breakfast as you'll be looked at, as if you have 2 heads. Damn. Done it againIt is situated just off the green and woods, so excellent if you want to walk the dog and then go and sit have a coffee and cake. The inside is nicely decorated and is a good size for events etc. prices are reasonable. That is if you don't buy the house in the village first before going in to buy a coffeeSo to finish.
