What Booswam doesn't like about Barkers:
I wouldn't even give this restaurant one star. We recently purchased two orders of chips that were not even cooked properly. They were a white mushy blob, so we ended up throwing them away. We had to go out in the pouring rain to find another place to eat. We definitely will not be returning to this restaurant. This was our first and last time dining there. View all feedback.
For the second time, I put a big order for my company staff. the staff is very helpful and to accommodate at short notice. the food was fresh and very tasty cooked, all workers commented on the quality of the fish.
Consistent tasty chips, great prices, fast service. has tasted nicely for every occasion. plus easy to park.
Best chips in Hemel Hempstead. Lovely staff, highly recommend and not super pricey like the other chip shops in Hemel.
We decided last minute to get some fries and snacks to go with dinner. The service and staff were lovely, and the food was great. This is definitely my favorite place for fish and chips in town!
Went there last night at about 7pm, live up the road but hadn’t been there for years, had always had a good experience in the past, unfortunately not this time! I ordered 2 regular cod and chips, they said would be a 4 minute wait for the fish to be cooked or I could have 1 large cod and 1 regular cod already cooked- I opted for the freshly cooked. Got home and had got one freshly cooked and one old one, chips were cold and rubbery, one fish was completely cold and it all had a horrible taste from the oil! To top it off I found a hair in my food, totally disgusting, I threw most of it away after paying nearly £15 for it, will never go back there, has gone completely down hill!
