On my secon... read more I have visited Matero's three times now. The first time, I enjoyed the Friday fish fry; the food was excellent, though the service was just average. On my second visit, I tried the spaghetti, which was alright but nothing extraordinary, with pleasant service. During our third visit, we ordered a special meat pizza, but the bartender brought the wrong one. When we pointed it out, he asked if we wanted to wait for the correct pizza or start with the wrong one. Since we were hungry, we chose to eat it. Shortly after, our waitress admitted she had entered the order incorrectly and offered to fix it. Even though we declined, she placed the correct order and added a complimentary order of cheese curds. However, she soon returned to say that her boss wanted the wrong pizza taken back, even though we had already eaten five slices. We did get the cheese curds for free, despite not ordering them. While the food is good, this experience has made us reluctant to return.
