I love this place. I have not had a better dosa in the Bay Area. I moved out of the area but every time I'm in the South Bay I still stop in for lunch. Both vegetarian dosa's are delicious. I highly recommend either of them (or Half and half! . The staff is lovely and service is quick! View all feedback.
What Sin Yaw W doesn't like about Dosateria:
I didn't know what's Dosa and thought to give it a try. The conclusion? It a burrito with Indian spices. I wouldn't ditch this, but also don't think it's worth the fuss. View all feedback.
I have been visiting the Dosateria at Whole Foods Market in Cupertino weekly for the past several years. My go-to favorite menu item is the potato masala dosa. My mom, who is an excellent cook herself a very picky eater, raves about the chicken dosa. We are especially crazy about the spectacular yet affordable dosas prepared from scratch served up by Lorena whose smile seems to light up the entire Dosateria corner where most of the menu items, to my knowledge, are prepared daily from scratch. Lorena is a force of nature. I have never seen her pause for a moment. She is clearly passionate about her work, is either cooking with gusto or cleaning fiercely or greeting a passing co-worker with genuine warmth or brightening the day of a customer (such as myself! with an engaging conversation. Lorena her staff's warmth combined with the speedy, delicious, freshly prepared food make for an extraordinarily cozy familial ambience I have not experienced anywhere else in the Bay Area. My hypersensitive gut makes it very difficult for me to enjoy eating out. But Lorena's dosas seem to be an exception. Hence even though I rarely post a review about anything, I feel compelled to make an exception write a review as an expression of my deepest gratitude for the modest yet extraordinary Dosateria corner at Whole Foods. For me, it has become so much more than a casual eatery. It is by far my favorite feature of Cupertino Whole Foods, feels every bit as safe, comfortable, clean, tidy, cheerful, welcoming, uplifting, gracious, delicious as my beloved mom's eat-in kitchen. If you have not tasted one of Lorena's dosas yet, I hope you will give it a shot. You will not be disappointed!

Great food and good service. We go here a lot to have their Paneer dosa which is one of the best I’ve had. Also like the butter chicken dosa and lemon rice with saag paneer. They also make good sugar cane juice which is a little overpriced but tastes authentic with the right balance of ginger and lime. They have a small seating area as well so you can enjoy the dosas hot.
The food here is decent and the place is clean. It's mostly varieties of dosa and they have nice sugarcane juice. However what bothers me each time I go here is the very rude lady at counter who also prepares the food/drink. She flat out refused to take order of sugarcane juice at 3:30 pm when they are open until 4:30 saying she is already done for the day with the juices. We went all the way to that location just for the sugarcane juice. We had a negative experience a different time as well. She never smiles and has a scornful face throughout the process. I feel like any place that deals with customers should know the meaning of customer service. This woman at the counter is absolutely unfit for the role. This ruins the experience for us each time.
