If you don´t have a first-hand reference then just follow the natives and avoid the tourists. El Blanco is that place and my recent third visit was reassuringly good so as to confirm the theory. It´s not quite on the beach but close enough and feels beachy and it is open plan with a large terrace. Service is friendly and informal, there are plenty of typical options on the menu but the story here is the paella. At 12 euros per person for the standard (and delicious) paella valenciana you just can´t go wrong. Beer is freezing cold and the starters are all solid in my experience. The only slight down side is that if you are staying in Cullera main beach or close-by then you really need to drive to El Blanco, but they have their own off-street parking so not such a hassle.
