After reading all reviews, I decided to invite a friend to lunch here for a special occasion. I was embarrassed. the inner of the place is quirky and charming, but a bit begging and not sure how clean all this padding is. when we came down, we got brotchips with what seemed like someone chopped a Costco-Callantro mousse into pieces. then a little later we were offered a pate that did not taste at all leber, so a pate of something else must have been unidentifiable, but pleasant enough. the menu is written on a chalkboard and included 6 meat dishes and a fish dish and a blossom. when we asked for vegetarian options, the only thing they could offer was the aubergine soap. choice of two suppene, french squash with cranberries. they were both on the sweet side and not so great. the main dish servings are on the small side, my friend had the laughs, again the sauce was really sweet. I had the lasagne, I could and made better at home. we also got small side salads that are honest, I found a kind of rough. it was cut with more pieces of the Cilantro mousse and a little vinaiigrette. Once the waiter served us, he forgot us and never shot a look at us because he had a big table to deal with it. I had to get up and knock on the kitchen door to ask for the check. then they felt bad and the waiter came with free cake. the carrot cake was thick and gummy and ice-cold directly from the refrigerator, and the chocolate-layer cake was extremely dry and average tasting. my last note is over the waiter, his hair looks fat, always falls into his face, he wore no uniform, and the cuffs of his long-sleeved shirt almost always brushed that eating when he did something on our table. I would not go back, would not recommend this place, and was extremely disappointed after all the good reviews.
We were three times to this very special small restaurant, just a few blocks from the plaza cuernavaca . I enjoy going because it is like being in a private house that is in reality. the facility is beautiful, books, paintings., antiques, classical music. suddenly they leave behind the hectic of cuernavaca and return to a cozy, quiet atmosphere for a lousy lunch. they have a menu consisting of a selection of a few suppenings, then an salat, and then a main course from which there are at least six choices. dessert is also included and there were about four different things they can choose. we had the lenguado with a lemon sauce, very nice, the coq au vin, which was delicious. they also brought some hot broth rolls that were beautiful. a few glasses of wine, they also have a few choices. I am happy to go back and some more friends to try the restaurant. they can park on the road right front without problems. the price range is medium, not super cheap or expensive.
