Casa Hidalgo - Cuernavaca

We had dinner here one evening almost in total darkness. Bring a flashlight if you want to read the menu and see your food once it arrives. You must see your meal to fully enjoy it. Dining in the dark is not my thing.

I've been told that this is an excellent spot for a meal but on this occasion it was simply poor. Chicken and pork was very dry and lacked flavour. Prices are high and on par with Canadian, looking at 15-20$ a meal for very small portions. Wait time was long. Waiting staff complained about tip despite not delivering a good service. The bread on the other hand was excellent and purchased some to go. In conclusion a good location and a nice looking place but the food was simply poor. Typical toursit trap, at least on this occasion.

El lugar estuvo muy bien. El trato por parte de los meseros fue excelente. Tenían música en vivo con marimba, lo cual fue agradable. La comida en general estaba rica, pero los tacos de lengua no tenían nada de sabor. Pedimos también spaghetti al pesto que estaba súper aceitoso. Las enchiladas de mole estaban muy ricas. Así como el pescado a la plancha. Muy recomendable el lugar.

Muy rico todos los alimentos, nos ha fascinado a toda mi familia, la música en vivo los sábados está súper, me encanto el lugar !

Me gustó muchísimo su comida, sus postres, la atención y la vista que tiene hacia el palacio de cortés que ahora se llama el museo de los pueblos de Morelos
