It was n... read more We are residents of Cuernavaca who are often in Cuautla. We continue to look for a good place to eat and hoped that Mision Cotija would be a good find. It was not to be. We both ordered the tampiqueña and were disappointed with the quality and the flavor of the meal. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong thing and would have been luck with something else. However, after one bad meal we will rarely return to give them a second chance.

There many different dishes, from traditional Mexican dishes like chilaquiles, pancita, carnitas, to international dishes like pancakes. In addition, the location is very nice, in a beautiful garden with small ponds with goldfish...and turtles. The only drawback is that you have to get there early if you want to avoid the crowd and a long wait for a table.
