Santarpio's is an East Boston staple that's been serving delicious pizza and barbecue skewers for decades. I have been here twice. First time the pizza was not memorable and the lamb kabobs were very rubbery. Second time was recent. Pizza flavor was tasty (mush, onion, pepper, beef) but so soggy that it had no structure and all the cheese fell right off as the slice was limp.The waitress was very attentive to our table and patient on taking our order since half our party was late.Love the charcoal pit behind the bar. Grab some pizza or grilled skewers when you are near Logan International airport you will not be disappointed.
This is some of the best pizza I've ever had, I highly recommend coming here and getting the garlic with sausage pizza.
Excellent food and bbq. Great, friendly service. Cherry peppers are so good. Make a special trip to Eastie for this pizza.
