Lovely traditional old pub with great beer and a roaring fire! Chocolate box rooms and comfy furniture - can't really ask for more!

The food we had was expensive and underwhelming. The rarebit at 8.65 was served on its own without any bit of salad. The beef in the open sandwich at 9.50 was over cooked and very thin. No hint at all of a taste of horseradish...
