Carnaval
Description
Nestled on the mountain, this small owner-run Mexican spot divides diners. Loyal patrons praise authentic, flavorful plates, handcrafted cocktails, friendly proprietors, cozy atmosphere and new breakfast service — even lively karaoke nights. Critics report inconsistent execution: greasy or cold meals, missing staples (beans, salsa), flat sodas and brusque service, plus occasional billing hassles. Expect a charming, intimate experience when it’s humming, but check recent reports or call ahead if you need reliable consistency.

The food was outstanding, and the owner was incredibly friendly. I can’t wait to visit again!
I'm currently visiting from another city and staying at an Airbnb nearby this restaurant. Our hosts recommended it by leaving us the menu, so we decided to give it a try. Our server, Julia, was AMAZING—so sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. Despite the restaurant being small and only having two people working at the time, the food was excellent; everything was flavorful and tasted authentic. Even the cocktails were blended to perfection and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great Mexican food!
The employees here are fantastic, providing great service every time. The place is always clean, and the food tastes incredible. What more could you ask for? Don't forget to check out karaoke nights on Thursdays—it's a lot of fun! Come on down!
