Tavern On The Green - Crawley

This charming local eatery features a spacious outdoor seating area with views of a large playground and playing fields. The menu is simple, with daily specials and reasonable prices. We enjoyed the delicious beef pies and found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and efficient. Ordering at the bar is recommended for a seamless experience. Overall, we were highly satisfied with our visit.

Excellent and friendly staff this to me is the essence of a great pub. Despite the CoVid19 restrictions we managed to enjoy ourselves with a nice meal (from a fairly limited menu), excellent drinks and prompt attentive service.

Shocking service. Nearly an hour with no starter even came out and still waiting. Even when asked waitress for update she never came back. Unless you are not really hungry or have all afternoon and evening avoid having food here.

Currently been waiting here for nearly an hour and not even simple starter has been brought out or cutlery. Even asking for an update waitress did not come back. This is shocking and no excuse and not even an apology. Avoid eating here.

Visited recently because they have just reopened. Was unsure how they'd be able to cope with social distancing measure because it can get quite crowded inside under normal circumstances but I was very impressed with how they've managed everything. One way system in and out, the outside garden gates both closed so you couldn't come and go into the park which I thought was good. Full table service now and the staff have adapted well to work a way which they've never done before. Something to be aware of though is that they've limited their food trading hours so don't serve food all day now.
