This small food truck / open-air cafe is situated near the lakeside parking lot. Considering the limited vegan options in the area, we were pleasantly surprised to find that half of the menu is vegan. We tried the vegan burrito and hoisin (no) and found them to be delicious and freshly cooked. At around £5 per item, we would definitely return if we are in the area again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lakeside Cafe:
I was thrilled to find out about their website and Facebook page, which advertised 95% of their menu as vegan. However, when I went for lunch on a weekend, there was only one vegan option available - nuggets. It seems like their online platforms may need to be updated as it appeared that only a small portion of their menu was actually vegan. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the nuggets. The staff at this restaurant are friendly and willing to answer any questions. They offer gluten-free options such as bread and wraps, however, there is no dedicated space or equipment for those with celiac disease. They also have gluten-free sausages and fish finger sandwiches available upon request.
The waitresses are lovely and happy to answer any questions. They offer gluten-free bread and wraps. However, there is no separate area or equipment for those with celiac disease. They were able to make the sauté gluten-free when requested and they also serve gluten-free fish finger sandwiches.
Located near the lake's parking lot, this small food truck/Open Air Café offers a surprisingly extensive selection of vegan options. We were delighted to see that half of the menu is vegan, a rare find in this area. We tried the vegan burrito and the hoisin (non) duck wrap, both of which were delicious and freshly made. Priced at around £5 each, we will definitely be stopping by again on our next visit to the lake.
