Feedback
Disappointing dining experiences have left patrons feeling let down by the Seagoe Hotel in Portadown. Complaints ranging from small portions and overpriced meals to slow service and rude staff have overshadowed the enticing dessert options and pleasant atmosphere. While the hotel boasts a well-equipped conference venue, issues with room readiness and uncomfortable beds have left guests dissatisfied. Positive notes include a lively bar scene and friendly waitstaff, particularly Emma. Overall, the Seagoe Hotel may need to address staffing and pricing concerns to enhance the overall guest experience and restore its reputation as a reliable hospitality option.
So so disappointed with dinner here last night. Dined here 13th July and a few months before that. Food was exceptional. Dined yesterday with my 3 sisters for a birthday celebration. I had my usual chicken goujons and they were only small crispy ends with almost no chicken. One sister had the roast Turkey and ham mostly stuffing with some vegetables which were practically unrecognisable. Another sister had haddock which was overcooked. The waiter mistakenly took the wrong order for the 4th sister and she was served salmon with roast potatoes which were obviously reheated she had asked for chips. Again, it was hard to decipher what the veg was. We were very very disappointed. Desserts were lovely. Service was good waiter kept telling us that he’d report all back to the chef. It was so bad, the waiter removed the price of our teas. So so disappointed.
Just been for Sunday lunch and feel compelled to leave a review. 23.95 for a roast dinner was absolute daylight robbery. So order was placed and the food arrived quicker than a McDonald meal in a drive in. Turkey and ham roast with one miserable very small slice of ham and more stuffing in the turkey roulade than turkey! Very bad experience and won’t be back.
We had our wedding here last week. All decor was nice and the day went ok though I’d have preferred it to go a lot better. Staff didn’t follow instructions properly and made a complete disaster of the seating arrangements. One barman to serve drinks when he disappeared to make cocktails at the other bar we were left with no bar staff. There was nobody about to ask if we were happy with things. Our own decorations brought in went missing and we had to contact the dj and registrar for these. Very disorganised and when emailing them it took several emails before I even got an apology. We were very disappointed with the service.
Was brought here for mothers day meal on 10th March . I was very disappointed wasn't well organised we arrived at 2pm for food still had not received any food by 3.30 pm we ended up leaving . There was alot of other tables on the same boat as us absolute disgrace How it was run especially when it was for Mothers Day put a real dampener on my day will not return for food again very disappointed on the service we received avoid on special occasions.
