Heard a lot about this place online social media so thought I would try it! We were super happy with the service and the food was good although a couple of the dishes lacked a bit of flavour. Would recommend checking it out though if you are keen for a night off the NOLA classic dishes. View all feedback.
What Shelby Ruiz doesn't like about Saba Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews:
Food is delicious but service is consistently mediocre. Not horrible, but the staff here always seem slightly inconvenienced by everything and are slowwww. Came here for lunch this time and ended up being here for over 3 hours only because the food took so long to come out. Server checked on us maybe twice the whole time we were there. I was charged $7 for an ice latte in a high ball glass. It was probably less than... View all feedback.
Outstanding from start to finish! Full confession, we arrived without a reservation (but earlier in the evening in the vague hope that we could be seated anywhere. The host offered us two seats at the bar which we gladly took and as we walked in we realised that we may have just gotten the last two chairs on offer and were grateful for the hosts help. We ordered the Charred Broccoli, Moroccan Carrots, Tahini Hummus and the Lamb Kofta and were advised that the Lamb would arrive later (which we were fine with . When the food arrived it was absolute perfection! The flavours were elevated and it’s clear the ingredients sourced are of the highest quality. Even the bread that’s included straight from the wood fired oven is incredible! On top of this, there are a team of staff working so hard to ensure your every need is met (and it was! . The atmosphere was buzzing but not in an anxious way. It was a relaxed restaurant even though it was at full capacity. New Orleans is very lucky to have this restaurant on their doorstep. We know that we will be back, but next time we’re sure that we’ll need to reserve a table!
Locals who have enjoyed this place in the past and decided to give it another shot after finding new Israeli dining options since the menu here doesn't change. Highly disappointed by the service- waving to our server to come for another glass of wine but instead he waved back and left for twenty minutes inside before returning with a hot glass of wine. The hummus was bland and the bread was cold. The Israeli salad was mostly onion with 5 cucumber slices. The wine glass was dirty and everything was stacked in the table with no change of silverware or plates to serve the dishes. Lastly the chicken came cold and dry as a desert. The inside was mush and unable to be eaten without spitting out punched but the texture of vomit already. The prices are crazy for such terrible quality. We recommend tals further down for better quality and quantity. The 4% kitchen appreciation fee would be fair if they told you beforehand and guaranteed a good meal. Waste of money and left terrible taste in our mouth. Even Whole Foods across the street has better hummus and chicken.
Still think about this place months after going. Truly unmatched pita and hummus (especially the lamb ragu), the harissa chicken was cooked to perfection and yummy every step of the way. Great service too, and oh get an underberg for dessert! Can't wait to return!
Talk about a religious experience with food! Went for a late brunch with my husband and ate a series of small plates with drinks after walking around the garden district. If they have the Blue Crab Hummus do yourself a favor and order it!!! I can’t tell you how delicious everything is you just have to experience it.
This was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Staff was extremely friendly and courteous.
