My wife and I had brunch. The food was delicious. We even had music playing in the dining area. Our server was the best. He made great suggestions for the meal we ordered. He didn't rush us. View all feedback.
What LaurieK doesn't like about Miss River:
We went for brunch. The avocado toast looked beautiful, but was just okay. My husband got the $85 brunch! The **** Mary's were good, but he needed to drink a few more to get his money's worth. lol View all feedback.
They didn't bring my side dish (spinach) until I was done with my entree. They put my sparkling water bottle out of my reach but never filled my glass. Attention to detail was lacking.
I was at Miss River on my last trip to Nola in October and deemed it the best meal in the city, not so this time. We were 3 seated at a table for 6. It was not comfortable. The service was excellent, drinks were excellent. The oysters with spinach and panko were tasty but arrived less than warm almost cold, the crab was delicious but not enough crackers for three We had two fish and one fried pork chop. The breading on the pork chop crumbled off when cut and was so salty I could not eat it. The fish was good but very plain. The creamed spinach was excellent. The table behind us and next to us were very very loud which did not help. All in all not the same experience I had in October. Something is off. The best part of the evening was how professional the hostess and servers were...
Great place. Took our daughter for her birthday. Great welcoming staff and service.I had the reddish courtbouillon and it's the best I've had anywhere!
This was my first time at Miss River, and it definitely set the tone for me to return! I treated my friend his birthday, and everyone acknowledged him and his special day. From being greeted by the hostess, the vibrant live music, to the professional attention from Aaron, we enjoyed every moment of our brunch! The food was a feast for the eyes and stomach! We had the deviled eggs, fried chicken, and pain perdu. I look forward to returning for dinner and trying other menu items.
We had an amazing experience at Miss River last night! From appetizers to dessert, the food was outstanding. We chose regional dishes that were prepared with uniqueness and creativity. Ryan, our main server made helpful suggestions and was a pleasure. Every server we interacted with extended a high level of hospitality and professionalism making it a special night. We will recommendVegetarian options: The staff asks about food allergies and preferences and is knowledgeable and helpful about menu ingredients. While the majority of items have seafood or meat, there are delicious options for vegetarians.
