The best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in New Orleans. Period. The salsa is made fresh every day. Everything on the menu tastes exactly like you are in a small place in Mexico City getting a meal from your abuela. The birria is incredible. The tacos are fantastic. The chile relleno is amazing. The food was ok. We ordered quesadillas, birria tacos, queso fundido with chorizo and 2 margaritas. The queso was good but loose. The birria tacos should be called birria quesadillas. They were really good but not tacos, which is what we ordered. No complaints about the actual quesadilla. We purchased the drinks once we went to pick up the food. Delicious and authentic Mexican food! Unfortunately we don’t live in NOLA, otherwise we could eat everyday here. We‘ll come again next week! Thank you very much for the attentive service and the explanations.
The waitress got both our orders wrong. The food was awful when we did get what we ordered. My son and I both ended up with food poisoning.
Loved this place! Had the birria tacos-delish! Boyfriend had a soup and loved it as well. We enjoyed the fresh salsa (never had it served warm before! , the queso, guacamole, and of course the $5 margarita special!
