What Lee G likes about Arnaud's:
The 3 of us ordered our food. My wife’s fish and side of creamed spinach came first, along with my mushrooms for my steak. My mother in law’s gumbo came five minutes later. My steak came 20 minutes after my wife received her fish, and I asked for new mushrooms since they were long past cold. Our table was an afterthought. All aesthetic, no substance… After eating at the Commander's Palace, which was very good (pork belly was perfectly cooked with a shocking blast of smoky flavor and unexpected texture, fish was overcooked and not served enough sauce to offset dryness and there was no acidity to liven that respective dish, the service was out of this world), but not perfect, this experience made that place seem like Michelin star resta...
