I am a bit perplexed. I purchased a strawberry Swiss roll cake to take home and upon opening it, I found that the cake itself was soft but the cream was very cold and the strawberries inside were frozen solid. Should I have thawed out my slice of cake before eating it? Why was it advertised as fresh? The staff was friendly, but I was not thrilled about paying over $5 for a partially frozen slice of cake. Have always had amazing experiences here. The desserts are subtle and nuanced and the lunch menu is well prepared and curated. We order our birthday cakes from here every year and they are works of art. One of our favorite places in the area.
Love Chako!!! As an avid baker myself, their baked good are so good. The lunch combos are smart and give a great glimpse of a quick, healthy, but filling lunch. I just wish Chako had more flexible service hours but maybe its good if they don’t since I would go here daily!
Chako cafe is amazing! The best matcha green tea and roll Food and Bread was great too. The owner and everyone is nice and friendly. We love it, Can’t wait to go back again
Overall, I loved the place. Chicken karaage was so simple yet so delicious! They have a big menu for swiss rolls, we tried the Matcha, and the mixed fruit, both were tasty. The spinach and cheese bread was average.
